September 2025

Localization studio Dubhub has appointed Niclas Ekstedt as Chief of Operations at its Stockholm office. Niclas previously served as Director of Business Development for Northern and Western Europe at the world’s largest localization company, Iyuno.

“Niclas will bring a wealth of experience to our fast-growing company, bridging the world of traditional localization with new solutions powered by the latest technology. The key to success is a deep understanding of the industry’s current state while also daring to disrupt established business models. In this transformation, Dubhub intends to take the lead,” says Fredrik af Malmborg, Co-founder and CEO of Dubhub.

Over the past 12 years, Niclas has played a major role in the consolidation of the localization industry. His first role in the industry was as Country Manager for Dubberman, which wasintegrated into BTI Studios and later into Iyuno. During this time, Niclas managed the Swedish dubbing and subtitling organisation as well numerous major accounts across the Nordic and European media industry, consistently driving client growth and operational efficiency.

“Our industry is undergoing a fundamental transformation, and I am very much looking forward to driving this development together with the Dubhub teams in Stockholm, Istanbul, and Amsterdam. The combination of cutting-edge technology and skilled production teams – at significantly lower costs – has the potential to reshape the industry. I am very impressed by Dubhub’s achievements to date and its forward-looking business plan,” says Niclas Ekstedt.

Niclas will assume his new role at Dubhub next week at the Stockholm office, working alongside Irina Divnovgortseva, recently promoted Vice President of Sales and Acquisition, based in Amsterdam.
